Departmental Overview Contracts and Grants Accounting provides the following support for sponsored awards: Award setup in UC Berkeley's financial systems, financial reporting and analysis, invoicing, accounts receivable collections, cash management, audit coordination, effort report coordination, and campus wide training and technical assistance. Position Summary C&G Supervisors in CGA provide the critical role of review and approval of all analyst award setups, financial reporting, billing, closeouts and AR escalations for Contracts and Grants at UC Berkeley. The supervisor trains new and lower level staff members, provide coverage for all absences on their teams, and provide award management support to BRS which often includes communicating difficult issues to the PIs and Sponsors. The supervisor currently manages a team of 4 analysts covering approximately one fourth of the campus C&G portfolio, i.e. ~ 900 active awards, over $1 billion in total award value for open contracts and $20 million in monthly billing.
